Somewhere Over the Border is bringing the music and adventure to People's Light this summer, so we're kicking things off with a series of special events! We have discounts, food trucks, and more in store to welcome "the best new show of the year" (Chicago Stage and Screen) to Malvern, following its critically-acclaimed run at Pittsburgh's City Theatre.
With $2 wine at concessions and $20 tickets, there's no excuse not to get the girls together for a night out at the theatre. Use code LADIES20 for discount tickets. No code needed for the $2 wine – just visit concessions before the show... and feel free to come back for more at intermission, we won't judge.
Performance begins at 7pm

Somewhere Over the Border takes inspiration from a rich variety of stories and cultural references: from The Wizard of Oz to the true story of playwright Brian Quijada's mother's journey from El Salvador to the United States. Unpack and react to the musical at our weekly talkback with People's Light staff, who are often joined by members of the cast and creative team. Preview tickets are automatically discounted compared to regular ticket prices.

This is a musical for all the theatre lovers in your family, from tweens to adults! In cooperation with our friends at Alianzas de Phoenixville, enjoy food trucks and music before the show, which follows 17-year-old Reina's journey from El Salvador to the United States, including nods to The Wizard of Oz. Alianzas founder Nina M. Guzmán will be here to say hello and welcome Spanish speakers (but please note that most of the dialogue in this musical is in English). Use code FAMILY20 for $20 tickets!
Recommended for ages 10+ due to mild language and discussion of immigration and border crossing.
