A Pulitzer Prize winner from celebrated playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, Topdog/Underdog is a darkly comic fable of brotherly love. The play tells the story of siblings Lincoln and Booth, whose names, given to them as a joke, foretell a lifetime of deep-seated rivalry and resentment. Haunted by their own past and the weight of their namesakes, the two men must confront their future in a story that takes a searing look at manhood and family identity.
Company Artist Akeem Davis stars in this production, helmed by acclaimed Philadelphia director Amina Robinson. Topdog/Underdog is co-produced with Arden Theatre Company.

Relaxed Performances offer a judgment-free, "shush-free" environment where traditional theatre rules are relaxed. During the performance, audience members are free to move around, exit and enter the theatre, or vocalize. All are welcome! At each Relaxed Performance, we offer audio description, ASL interpretation, and a pre-show sensory tour where you can interact with set and prop elements and ask questions.

Headsets provide commentary on the visual aspects of a performance. This supplemental narration interweaves with the real-time, spoken dialogue.
American Sign Language interpretation provided by Hands UP Productions. This is also a Relaxed Performance.
During every performance this week, dialogue appears on an LED screen placed near the stage to patrons with hearing impairments, as well as English language learners.
