People’s Light debut. At the age of 7, Dorse Brown began his dance career in his hometown of Little Rock, AR. While training, Brown received a Young Artist Talent Scholarship to attend the American Dance Festival and also had the opportunity to appear and compete on the 5th season of the television show, "So You Think You Can Dance." He is so honored to have trained and danced with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company in Dayton, Ohio from 2011-2015. After Dayton, Brown performed as an Aerialist while being a hip-hop soloist with Royal Caribbean Cruise line and completed a Specialty Performer contract with Norwegian Cruise Lines. He was selected for the 14th Annual Bronzelens Film Festival as a Film Director/Performer, and for the Emerging Black Choreographer Incubator presented by Mojuba Dance Collective. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera for their productions of Fire Shut Up In My Bones and X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X. Brown is honored to have culminated a season as a featured soloist with Camille A. Brown and Dancers at the Joyce Theater in New York, gracing the Apollo stage and appearing on PBS with the company. This is his fourth season with the Company.
