Molly Rosa Houlahan

(She/her) People’s Light Associate Producing Director. Molly Rosa Houlahan is a queer director, producer, and theatremaker. Select directing credits includes: Hurricane Diane (People's Light), Play House (Leeds Theatre), Mr Burns: A Post Electric Play, Collective Rage, and The Skriker (Pell Chafee Performance Center), I’ll Be In My Hanukkah Palace (Ars Nova), The Winter’s Tale (Brown/Trinity Rep tour). Her directing work has been featured at FringeNYC, Philadelphia Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Playwright Horizons reading series, NYTW Larson Lab. Assistant/Associate Director credits at the New York Philharmonic, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Broadway-bound productions at Berkeley Rep, The Public Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Arena Stage. Molly has worked dramaturgically with artists such as Lynn Nottage, Richard Greenberg, and Jacqueline Pereda. She has also worked with artists including Suzan-Lori Parks and David Byrne in producing administrative roles at The Public and Steppenwolf. From 2018-2020, Molly was Associate Artistic Director at Hypokrit Theatre Company (NYC). Molly’s original work has been featured at the Araca Project and Furnace Festival, among others.
