(They/she) Katherine Perry is an actor, trauma-informed educator, creative engine, and professional fool whose work celebrates the creativity in every body and the storyteller at all stages. In addition to being on the LSOH swing team they are also lead artist and director for the Little Shop Teen Takeover, and a teaching artist for PL’s summer studios educational programming. Previously on stage at People's Light, Katherine was swing for A Christmas Carol. Other recent on stage collaborations include Delaware Theatre Company/New Light Theatre (Kinky Boots), Jaffe St. Queer Productions (Gay Mis), Media Theatre (Grease), EgoPo ClassicTheatre (Turds in Hell), Shakespeare in Clark Park (As You Like It), Delaware Shakespeare (Macbeth), Boston Playwrights' Theatre (Alligator-a-Phobia in 3D), and PlayPenn, including several new works and world premieres. Their work on stage and in the community earned recognition as a finalist for the Sylvia Kauders Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor through Theatre Philadelphia. During the school year Katherine teaches in classrooms across the Philadelphia area with 1812 Productions, The Unscripted Project, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, Arden Theatre, and the Kimmel Center.
