Join Company Artist Tom Teti (Over 150 productions at People’s Light, most recently Tommy and Me) for a 7-week exploration: covering the art of acting, text analysis, auditions, and public speaking.
Tom will conduct a class that journeys through scene study, monologue, skill exercises, audition techniques, reading to an audience, speaking to a gathering - and more. Bring your senses and your sass, no matter your age or your experience, and help Tom learn something new. We build a group, share our best efforts, and enrich each other.
This course focuses on the fundamentals of acting technique. It is suitable for the theatre novice as well as intermediate and advanced students who wish to return to the basics to refill their cup. Tom shares his vast knowledge of the craft, along with his insights as a writer, storyteller and public speaker, offering tools and techniques collected over his 4+ decades at People's Light.
