A slapstick, mad cap, crackpot version of the still stylish tale of an Emperor with a passion for fashion. In the Empire of Abalonia, the bratty new Royal demands a trendy new wardrobe. Enter two stealing, scamming, flimming and flamming, roguish rogues who are only too happy to fulfill the Emperor's wishes while looting the royal treasury. Best appreciated by ages 5 and up.

"The Emperor's New Clothes: Zaniness and a bounty of talent"
"There's plenty of zaniness, lots of laughs, actor Peter Pryor - a panto regular - and a good dose of vaudevillian clowning."
Wendy Rosenfield, The Philadelphia Inquirer

"The People's Light & Theatre Company's staging of this adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale is energetic and imaginative. It will surely stimulate some interesting conversations between children and the adults in their lives about facades and the value of independent thinking."
Steven Brodsky, (Host of the WCHE Entertainment & Culture Show)
