Administrative Apprentice

Seeking an Administrative Apprentice to work closely under the General Manager, Director of Data Insight & Tessitura Specialist, and Executive Assistant/Resident Casting Director on administrative tasks relating to the Business Office, Contracts, Casting Coordination, and Company Management within a nationally-recognized not-for-profit regional theatre. This is an ideal position for one who recently completed undergraduate studies and has an appetite to delve more fully into the business-end of the arts world. Part-time position that will last for one year; $150 weekly stipend will be offered.

Ideal candidate will:
• Have office environment experience or equivalent course-work
• Have excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Be eager to learn accounting skills
• Be eager to learn Tessitura
• Have a keen interest in learning more about the business-end of non-profit

Responsibilities will include:
• Basic reporting
• Basic computer troubleshooting
• Record-keeping
• Managing work flow
• Preparing bills
• Answering phone and email inquiries in polite and professional manner
• Assisting in coordination of artist accommodations
• Assisting in coordination of board meetings and other fundraising events
• Assist in casting process logistics
• Special projects as assigned

Ticketing Service Representatives

Now accepting applicants for part-time box office ticketing representative positions to start work no later than February, 2015. Successful candidates must have flexible schedules and be able to work nights and weekends. Applicants should be computer literate, comfortable with a high volume of telephone calls, have the ability to multitask, and enjoy working with the public. Customer service and Tessitura ticketing software experience is a plus. Candidates must have reliable transportation. The box office is open year-round, offers 14-29 hours per week when in production, and is great for recent college grads and those individuals seeking entry level arts administration positions.

House Management Staff

People’s Light seeks part-time house management staff for our 2014/2015 Season. Primarily evening, and weekend hours available, along with occasional daytime hours. Applicants should be comfortable with face to face patron interaction, monetary sales/transactions, and selling basic concessions. Customer service and retail experience is a plus. Internships at People's Light

People's Light offers flexible hour internships that provide excellent experience in a range of Arts Administration disciplines. Duties vary by department. Positions are available immediately. Work closely with the department staff and gain both general and concentrated arts administration experience. Past interns have gone on to successful careers at People’s Light, other theatre and performing arts companies, and into other related careers.
