Adult Classes

During the 2012-2013 season, we are taking a short break from our Adult Acting Classes. In the last few years, we have been working to better align our Discovery programs (including our classes) with the artistic work of the theatre. We've made tremendous strides in our programming for young people, and we want to take some time to reflect and rejuvenate to bring our classes for adults to the same level of vibrant creativity.
We invite you to share your thoughts about what YOU are looking for in a class here at People’s Light. We’re curious about:
• Which artists would you most like to work with?
• What would you like to discover?
• What is the best time for you to join us for class?
• Why is the class, or theatre in general, valuable to you?
If you would like to share your ideas, or would like to be contacted when we re-open adult classes in 2013, please contact Hannah Daniel at daniel@peopleslight.org.
For other events in the 2012-2013 season, explore upcoming Community Matters evenings and Scoop performances. Each Community Matters evening consists of a play reading followed by a panel-led discussion on themes and topics expressed in the play. These themes--violence in sports, the state of education today, dealing with personal loss, and confronting discrimination--are all issues we find pertinent in today's world and with the people around us. Join us for discussion, debate, and a reconsideration of the world as each of us sees it.
Scoop offers the opportunity to meet a member of the cast, chat about the play before attending a performance, and enjoy light fare at the Farmhouse Bistro. Check out the Happenings tab for Barcelona and Noises Off for details!
